Renowned hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested in New York on Monday following an indictment by a federal grand jury. While the charges remain sealed, U.S. Attorney Damian Williams confirmed that Combs is now in custody, with further details to be revealed once the indictment is unsealed.
Combs was apprehended in the lobby of a Manhattan hotel. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, criticized the prosecution, describing the charges as unjust and highlighting Combs’ cooperation with the investigation. Agnifilo emphasized that Combs, a music legend and family man, looks forward to clearing his name in court.
The arrest follows a federal investigation initiated in March when Homeland Security raided Combs’ properties in Los Angeles and Miami. This marks a significant legal challenge for Combs, who has previously faced allegations of sexual misconduct.
