Salihu Lukman, a former National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has voiced his disapproval of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari and President Bola Tinubu, blaming them for Nigeria’s current economic turmoil. Lukman emphasized the necessity of removing the APC from power in the 2027 elections but argued that the opposition must unite to hold future governments accountable.

He criticized the lack of unity among opposition leaders and urged them to set aside personal ambitions in favor of addressing the country’s pressing challenges. According to Lukman, the APC has failed to fulfill its promises, particularly in addressing economic issues, insecurity, and corruption. He expressed deep disappointment in Buhari and Tinubu, once seen as capable leaders, but who have now become symbols of failure.
