Lopez and Affleck, whose romance originally began in the early 2000s, tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022. The couple first met in 2001 while filming the movie Gigli, where they played criminals working together on a job. Their on-screen chemistry soon translated into a real-life relationship, earning them the celebrity couple nickname “Bennifer.”
The couple got engaged in November 2002, but their relationship hit a rough patch, leading them to postpone their wedding, which was initially set for September 2003. They ultimately parted ways in January 2004.
