Nigeria’s National Judicial Council Calls for Appointment of 36 New Judges

The National Judicial Council (NJC) has put forward the names of 36 candidates for judicial appointments across various Nigerian states. The NJC’s recommendation was made during its 107th meeting, held on November 13 and 14, 2024, under the leadership of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun.

The recommended judges are expected to be formally sworn in by the Governors of their respective states.
