Sam Amadi, Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, has urged Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki to remain vigilant in the upcoming governorship election. Amadi, via his X account, claimed that Adams Oshiomhole, a former Edo governor and current supporter of APC candidate Senator Monday Okpebholo, cannot win the election without rigging.

Amadi advised the focus should be on the police, rather than the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as the police are more likely to influence the election outcome.

Meanwhile, Governor Obaseki has accused the police of colluding with the APC to arrest PDP members in a bid to create unrest and aid the opposition’s chances in the election. He plans to address these concerns with the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
