The Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) have praised the judiciary for canceling the sale of Nigeria Air to Ethiopian Airlines, calling the move a victory for truth. They also commended the new Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, for suspending the project initiated by his predecessor, Hadi Sirika. AON President, Alhaji Abdulmunaf Yunusa, noted the court’s ruling invalidated the sale due to violations of multiple regulatory acts, criticizing the deal as an exploitative scheme detrimental to Nigeria’s aviation market.
