Oladele Oyelude, the Director-General of Tinubu-Shettima Ambassadors and an APC chieftain in Osun State, has dismissed concerns that the North will oppose President Bola Tinubu’s reelection in 2027 due to his proposed tax reform bill. Speaking to journalists in Osogbo, Oyelude encouraged critics to engage their National Assembly representatives to address any issues with the bill rather than fostering regional tension.

Oyelude highlighted that the bill aims to boost revenue generation at the state level, which would contribute to national development. He also noted that the reform is unlikely to face strong Northern opposition, citing the involvement of Vice President Kashim Shettima, a northerner, in Tinubu’s administration.

“The National Assembly will review the bill to ensure it benefits the entire nation,” he stated, emphasizing that any regional concerns should be communicated through legislative channels rather than opposing the president.
