The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced the results for the June/July 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), revealing that 60.55% of candidates achieved five credits, including English Language and Mathematics.

While addressing journalists at the NECO headquarters in Minna, Niger State, the Registrar, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, stated that 1,376,423 candidates, including 706,950 males and 669,473 females, registered for the examination. Of those, 1,367,736 candidates sat for the exam, with 828,284 meeting the five-credit threshold.

Wushishi noted a significant reduction in examination malpractice, with 8,437 cases reported in 2024 compared to 12,030 in 2023—a 30.1% drop. However, 40 schools across 17 states were implicated in mass cheating, and appropriate sanctions will be enforced.

Candidates can now access their results via the NECO website using their registration numbers.
