No fewer than 18 protesters were reportedly arrested by the Nigeria Police while marking the fourth anniversary of the #EndSARS protests at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos. The protest, originally held in October 2020, was against police brutality, with many lives lost during the demonstrations, particularly on October 20, 2020.

The arrested individuals, including the Youth Rights Campaign spokesperson Hassan Soweto, were allegedly tear-gassed and detained. Reports indicate that they were later moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCIID) in Panti, Yaba. Calls to the Lagos State Police Command for further details went unanswers.
